John Taylor founded Taylor Sales in 1979. John started in the electronics business with the
Hetherington Sales Company in May of 1969, which represented McIntosh
Laboratories, KLH, and Tandberg, as well as many other prestigious
lines of that era. .
In 1974, Tandberg managed to hire John away as a sales manager, and
John contributed to the marketing push that made Tandberg an
overwhelming success at that time. In 1979 John decided to apply his knowledge and expertise to
his own endeavor, Taylor Sales.
In 2004, John Taylor stepped down from Taylor Sales to
pursue another endeavor. Daryl Dembiec who had worked alongside
John for the prior six years assumed control (with the
assistance of Mary West who has been with Taylor Sales for over twenty
years) and continues the long tradition of service to manufacturers
and dealers in the region.
Daryl started in the A/V industry on the retail sales
floor in the 90's. After years of "shelping Hi-Fi"
he went to work on the supply side of the industry with John Taylor at
Taylor Sales. Daryls' experience on the consumer side of the
industry has given him valuable insight into the needs of the current
dealer and his work with Taylor Sales has given him an insight into
the difficulties and needs of manufacturers. Understanding both
sides of the industry is invaluable knowledge in this quickly
adapting industry.
Today, Taylor Sales not only offers regional manufacturers
representation to New England and Up-State New York, but also has
a distribution company; Solo Express, which handles importation and
distribution of product lines nationally and regionally.
Solo Express distribution is located in the Greenfield,
Massachusetts’s facilities and ships and stocks product on a daily
basis.
Taylor Sales Group has been representing manufacturers for
over 25 years and in that time has grown to be one
of the most visible and notable representation firms in the regions it
serves. Taylor Sales
has a highly trained and experienced outside sales staff as well as
dedicated office personnel to service its manufacturers and dealers.

Taylor Sales takes part in personnel
training at their dealers’ specified locations and offers its
support at consumer seminars and open houses. Taylor Sales also offers
daily technical support via phone, fax or email from its trained
office staff.

these relationships has been able to make notable progress with
manufacturers product lines.
Although the business provides representation and distribution
for manufacturers, it would not be successful if it were not for the
dealers; this FACT is not lost on the Taylor Sales staff.
